The word vision has a variety of meanings, but it essentially means to see things present or future. Clear vision is of utmost importance. If one's vision is impaired, then correction is necessary in order to regain good vision. This vision gives one direction and hope.
We here at The Country Church have a set vision that binds us together and gives us purpose for the call of God in our individual lives. Our vision is fourfold.
- Building the Kingdom of God locally, statewide, nationally, and abroad through people who make up the local church, through the planting of churches, and through mission endeavors.
- Exalting God through praise and worship using musical instruments, choirs, special music, congregational singing and drama.
- Training and equipping people for the work of the ministry through corporate gatherings, small groups and individual ministry.
- Fellowshipping through small groups, praying together, eating together, family camps, and playing together. If you want friends, you must show yourself friendly.
The Country Church has a membership of born again believers who have committed themselves to this church and to being overseen by its elders. Out of this membership have come those who function as elders, lay pastors and leaders who take the lead in the care of this House of God and its body of believers.
The elders, lay pastors and leaders of the Country Church are born again, water baptized, and filled with the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4; 10:44; 19:6. These leaders feed and tend the church body and maintain its properties.
- To preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ
- To carry on the work of evangelism
- To ordain ministers
- To instruct its members
- To establish and maintain elementary and high schools and colleges
- To establish churches and foster their development
- To send missionaries to home and foreign fields
- To promote missionary work in all places
- To promote any lawful activity for the well being of its constituency and the maintenance of its properties, schools, and mission endeavors
